BIOGRAPHY

Saša Rajšić is an independent artist and researcher from Karlovac, Croatia. Like hundreds of thousands of fellow Serbs from Croatia, he and his family fled their country during the war in Yugoslavia and lived as refugees in Serbia before immigrating to Canada in 2005. Rajšić’s practice stems from his personal experiences and background and is grounded in his interest in peace and reconciliation.

Rajšić studied at OCAD University in Toronto and the University of the Arts Helsinki. Recently, he presented his work at the Faculty of Law of Oxford University and Khalil Sakakini Cultural Centre in Ramallah. He is a member of Displaced Peoples, a collaborative research network of the Law and Society Association, and Art and International Justice Initiative.

Rajšić’s work has been exhibited in Scotland, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Serbia, Germany, Greece, UK, Palestine, Spain, USA, and Canada, where he currently lives and works.
